Rules for Minesweeper Extreme: 100

Goal:

Before time runs out, work together to dig up all the spaces that do not have mines!

Understanding minesweeper:

When digging up a space there will be three possibilities for what's underneath:

The space is a mine.

In Minesweeper Extreme: 100, digging up a mine will explode it, killing you immediately, along with any players in the 8 squares around it.

The space contains a number.

This number tells you how many mines exist in the 8 spaces around it. In Minesweeper Extreme: 100, a number will add that many points to your score.

The space is blank.

There are no mines next to this space, and all blank spaces next to it will also get dug up. You score no points for finding a blank space.

Streamers have the ability to plant flags, which prevent anyone from digging up that space. If the streamer dies, any flags that were incorrectly planted will be removed.

Streamer controls:

  • Arrow keys control movement up, down, left, right.
  • 'D' allows you to dig a space, marked in front of you with a red X
  • 'F' allows you to plant or remove a flag

Kill Mode appears once the streamer dies. If the game takes too long, or there are any afk players, turn on kill mode and open fire!

Chat controls for viewers:

!join color (where color is red/orange/yellow/etc...)

Get into a game while the lobby is open. Once the game begins, the lobby will close and no more players can join.

!letter number (!A1/!B9/!C4/etc...)

Move your character to a space and dig once you get there.

!ping

Highlights your username and draws a line from your username to your character, if you're still alive.

Note: Viewers cannot add or remove flags.

Differences between Minesweeper Extreme: 100 and Minesweeper:

  • The first space that is dug can be a mine.
  • There is a time limit. Once the time runs out, all remaining mines explode, killing everyone.
  • Every 30 seconds, an earthquake will explode a random mine on the board. If the mine is under a flag, it will not go off.
